Overview
This tour is the first of it's kind in the region and perfect for adventure seekers!
Your tour begins as you board a six-passenger floatplane, leaving Juneau behind as you take off from the water.
Your scenic flight will take you towards the mouth of the Taku Inlet. This area is known as the gateway to the flowing glaciers of the Juneau icefield. There is much to discover, lookout for local wildlife such as black bears, moose and even mountain goats!
You will land on the Norris Glacier-fed lake, and from there you hike over the glacially carved terrain to a cove where your packraft awaits!
Packrafting is a unique sport and here you will be outfitted in single person packrafts and your guide will introduce you to the paddling techniques.
When you are ready, it is time to launch your packraft, and you will paddle to the glacier, take in the incredible glacier landscapes that surround you and paddle past icebergs, and take in the mountain views - what an unforgettable experience!
Time on the glacier will vary on the day, based on the weather and the pace of your group.
Your floatplane pilot will meet you at the beach for your return flight to Juneau and from there your return transport back to the meeting point.
