Overview
Including the exhilarating Yukon Suspension Bridge Crossing and Yukon Border!
This journey along the route blazed by Klondike Gold Rush stampeders will take you back in time as you travel up the highway that parallels the Gold Rush Trail of 1898. Waterfalls and towering mountains will pass through your eye line at every turn, serving as the perfect back drop for observing the historic WP&YR railroad and Moore Creek Bridge.
Miniature sub-alpine forest surrounds you on your arrival to the famous 3,292 foot White Pass Summit and the Welcome to Alaska sign.
The incredible views coupled with the area's history sets up the ideal scenario for great Alaskan tales.
Once in Canada enjoy the crystal blue Summit Lake, Divided Lake and rugged Tormented Valley.
Beyond Canadian customs at Fraser, you will continue into the captivating Northern Boreal Forest.
The minimal roads, cities and industrial development will provide the perfect photo opportunities in one of the most untouched regions in North America.
Vast Tutshi and Tagish lakes will impress you.
The Yukon provides the best potential wildlife viewing from Skagway, so always be on watch for bears, moose, sheep, goats and more!
Our turnaround stop is the Welcome to Yukon sign for a great photo stop!
Multiple stops throughout the tour allow for photos and breathing the fresh mountain air.
This type of access to serene wilderness is a rare opportunity that shouldn't go missed.
A great inclusion with this tour is a stop at the Yukon Suspension Bridge for the exciting crossing over the scenic Tutshi River canyon.
Rushing rapids below you add to the drama and surrounding views are beautiful.
You will have approximately 45 minutes here to view the educational displays, stop at the snack bar (for optional food purchase), as well as peruse the gift shop and use the restrooms. Your tour ends back at your cruise pier, with wonderful Alaskan memories!
