Experience the thrill of true Namibian adventure as you journey through the dramatic landscapes surrounding Swakopmund.
Weather permitting, we begin by navigating the dry riverbed of the Swakop River, where massive boulders and towering acacia trees create a striking contrast to the surrounding arid plains.
After a short safety briefing, we set off in our 4x4 vehicle toward our first highlight: the flamingos of Walvis Bay, where these elegant birds often gather along the lagoon.
From there, we continue to the iconic Dune 7, the highest dune in the area at 132 meters.
This impressive landmark can be seen from kilometers away, and those up for a challenge are welcome to climb to the top for breathtaking views.
Our journey then takes us to the surreal Moonlandscape, an extremely arid area shaped by Damara granite formations pushed through the Earth’s crust over 500 million years ago.
Its other worldly appearance has made it a popular filming location for international productions.
We stop to relax at Goanikontes Oasis before heading to the star attraction of the tour: the Welwitschia mirabilis, a rare living fossil found nowhere else on Earth.
Here, you’ll learn what makes this ancient plant so unique and enjoy time to explore and capture unforgettable photos.
The adventure continues with a scenic canyon drive, including photo stops, before returning to Goanikontes Oasis for a short break.
We then travel to the charming German coastal town of Swakopmund, where you’ll have free time to explore, shop, or enjoy a meal.
After your visit, we return to your cruise ship via the spectacular coastal road, where rolling dunes meet the Atlantic Ocean, an unforgettable end to an extraordinary day.
