Overview
This is a tendered port, it is highly recommended to reserve your tender with your cruise ship as soon as possible, this will allow you to reach the meeting point of your guide at the specified time.
The tour will start with a short stop at the observation platform, famous for many tourists admiring the views of the city and the port area, a great place for photo opportunities. The platform was founded by the Japanese in the 1910s.
The tour will continue to downtown Korsakov with a short stop at Lenin Square, which is located right in the centre next to the town hall. In the heart of Lenin Square there is a beautiful fountain surrounded by colourful flowerbeds and benches to sit and admire. There is also a monument dedicated to Lenin and a memorial to the defenders of Korsakov from the Japanese. Your guide will be on hand to give the full information of the area and the history.
Finally, the tour will end with a visit to a local cultural centre for a 30-minute folkloric performance, dancing and singing songs from Russia before returning back to the cruise ship in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure.
