Beginning with a scenic drive to the Tasman Peninsula, we will make a stop at the stunning Pirates Bay Lookout. Towering sea cliffs and a narrow isthmus make for dramatic views, and create the perfect setting for a penal community.

A visit to the Port Arthur Historic Site provides a vivid encounter with Tasmanias convict past. Your introduction to this massive historic site begins with a one hour guided walking and a harbor cruise around the Isle of the Dead. Youll also have time to walk the grounds on your own. There are over 30 buildings, in ruins and restored and youll have a chance to see everything from the main penitentiary to the solitary confinement cells, all revealing the grim and violent history of the early Australian Penal system.

On the return well visit the Tasmanian Devil "Unzoo" where youll have face to face encounters with animals found nowhere else on Earth! See the notorious Tasmanian Devil, hand feed Wallabies, and more! This experience is not to be missed and can only be had in Tasmania.
