Overview
Your guide introduces you to the best attractions on the island and other island favorites!
You start off at the Cayman Islands National Museum in George Town, here you will enjoy a guided tour tracing the islands seafaring history and learn about the history and culture and the combination of the 3 beautiful islands that together are known as the Cayman Islands - Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.
Continue your tour and pass through the George Town Post Office, which was the first post office established in Cayman on 12th April 1889. You will drive past the Cayman Island Courthouse and continue on to arrive at the Governor’s Residence. Here you can click through pictures and sign the visitor’s log book. You never know who you might find in that book!
Your tour immerses you in the islands culture of the past and the present, and you will appreciate the historical and political connections to the United Kingdom as well as the influences of American culture that make the islands truly unique.
Onwards to explore the Tortuga Rum Cake Factory and then to the iconic Pedro St James. Enjoy a stroll through this 3-storey building, admire the period furniture and authentic artifacts and imagine what life was like long ago in Cayman. You can quite easily be transported back in time as you experience a 3D multi-sensory presentation at the Pedro Theatre.
Your tour ends with a stop for an authentic delicious Caymanian lunch (paid on your own) where you may want to try some local delicacies. You will return to your cruise pier at the end of your tour.
