Your guide meets you outside the cruise terminal ready to show you Roatan Island.

This tour is fun for family and friends, a great experience for all ages. Your visit to the Monkey and Sloth hang out it an absolute must-see on the island. Discovering the exotic animal sloths, their beautiful smiling faces as they hang upside down, have your camera at the ready! Of course there is much more to see, the Capuchin Monkeys and parrots plus other animals such as Spider Monkeys and a variety of tropical birds.

Leaving the hangout behind you will board your transportation to experience your island tour. Roatan has quite the history including many famous Caribbean pirates, stories of buried gold and today has a charming blend of cultures, people and languages. The main languages are Spanish, English, and Garifuna, which holds on to its African roots.

You will pass through several of the small villages that dot the island including Barrio Los Fuertes and French Harbour, the second-largest town on the island. You may also see the wreck of ships along the coast.

Enjoy a stop at one of the highest points on the Eastern end of the island, for stunning views over the hills covered with lush vegetation and the sea with its many shades of blue.

Monkey and sloth hangout experience is now a no-contact wildlife sanctuary experience. This important step, in partnership with the Honduran government, ensures ethical interactions and better protection for our wildlife. While touching is no longer allowed, you can still enjoy an incredible learning experience with these amazing animals.
