Your journey begins with a drive through Basseterre, passing the iconic Circus, a circular civic crossroads inspired by London’s Piccadilly Circus and home to the historic Berkeley Memorial Clock.
Continue past Independence Square, where the island’s colonial past gives way to the proud story of nationhood, and admire the restored architecture and stained-glass windows of St. George’s Anglican Church, a symbol of resilience through centuries of rebuilding.
Travel into the island’s countryside to Romney Manor, a historic estate dating back to the 1600s. Stroll through vibrant botanical gardens shaded by tropical trees and visit Caribelle Batik, where skilled artisans create colorful batik fabrics using traditional techniques.
Continue to the nearby Wingfield Estate, one of the Caribbean’s oldest sugar plantations, where fascinating ruins reveal the story of St. Kitts’ sugar industry. While exploring the estate, enjoy a tasting of locally produced rum.
The tour then climbs to Timothy Hill Lookout, one of the island’s most spectacular viewpoints. Feel the gentle breeze and take in sweeping panoramas where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea, with views of the Southeast Peninsula, neighboring Nevis, and St. Kitts’ rolling green hills. After the tour, guests may choose to be dropped off at Frigate Bay Beach to enjoy the sea, sand, and surf at one of St. Kitts’ most popular stretches of coastline. Relax on golden sands, swim in calm Caribbean waters, or unwind with a tropical drink at a beachfront bar.
