Your guide meets you at your cruise port, ready to take you to see the most famous mountain pair on earth on this exclusive tour!
You will experience the rugged coastlines and unspoilt beauty along the north west coast of St. Lucia to the mythical meeting place of twin peaks – The Pitons. These twin peaks are volcanic spires rising approximately 2500 ft above sea level and are home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, in fact over 200 of them. The Pitons are a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Your tour leaves the port and passes through the capital city of Castries. On route to the first stop you will pass hills and valleys of lush tropical landscape. At Horizon View Point you will get a striking view of the west north coast, the opportunity to purchase light refreshments and a rest room break.
Continue past the sleepy fishing village of Canaries before coming to the highlight of the tour. At this stop you will get intimate views of the Majestic Pitons; a world heritage site and St. Lucia’s national treasure. Local treats will be served as you pause and capture the best photos!
The journey continues back up the West coast road and up onto Morne Fortune, a historical sight with remarkable views of the city. You will then make reach your final stop at Caribelle Batik; here you will witness batik and chocolate production demonstrations and also get some free time and a chance to browse the retail store.
In 4 hours you will experience the West coast, enjoy the stunning views of The Pitons, gain knowledge of the capital city and view village life.
There is time for a restroom break before our short journey back to the port.
Sample Itinerary (duration 4 ½ hours)
1 Hour: Depart your ship and drive through the capital city, southward along the west coast
15 Minutes: Photo & restroom stop - Horizon Viewpoint – refreshments on sale
30 Minutes: Drive to the Pitons viewpoint
10 Minutes: Pitons Viewpoint
5 Minutes: Drive to The Beacon
30 Minutes: Refreshments; bathroom & views at The Beacon
1 Hour: Drive back towards Castries & Caribelle Batik
