Your guide welcomes you at the cruise port, ready to take on the best island tour and discover the French and Dutch side of the island!
Sit back and settle in, as your tour starts with a drive by the Great Salt Pond towards Coralita Bay, a natural reserve overlooking the French island of St. Barth. Your drive takes you by the French Quarter, the first village settled by the French in 1629 and enjoy a stop at Paradise View for a panoramic view of the ever-popular Orient Beach and some of the islets. Have your camera ready for breath taking views!
Next, prepare to see one of the most stunning and popular beaches, Orient Beach, where you can stroll along the pure white shore, swim or sunbathe, stretching out on the soft sand as you marvel at the turquoise water that sparkles in the tropical sunlight. Orient Beach has over 30 bars, restaurants and all the facilities to make you feel at home. Orient Beach lies next to a naturist resort and sometimes guests may wander over to the clothing section of the beach.
Once you've had your fill of the beach, it's off to St.Martin's beautiful capital town, Marigot. You will immediately be immersed into the French atmosphere where shops line the colonial streets and an open-air bazaar surrounds the central square for arts, crafts and souvenirs. Choose to have lunch in one of the many bistros or pick up a souvenir.
Or you may decide to climb up the steps and visit Fort Louis, a superbly restored fort built in the end of the 18th century. A climb up is well worth the effort for panoramic views of Anguilla and the entire French capital!
Next it's back to your transportation with a drive to the Dutch side and experience a stop at Maho Beach! This beach is well-known for the planes approaching meters above the beach, as they land at the adjacent Princess Juliana International Airport. It's a fun experience and you will see why this beach is rated the most exciting beach in the world!
Your tour winds down with a journey through beautiful Simpson Bay towards Philipsburg, with a final photo stop on Cole Bay hill. You can choose to be dropped off in downtown Philipsburg to explore on your own or back at the cruise ship.
