On arrival at your beach resort, you will check in and receive all your snorkel gear, floatation belts and instruction to maximize your time underwater! Hop onboard boats, departing from Divi Little Bay Beach Resort, for a snorkeling adventure like no other.
The sparkling Caribbean waters are now home to over 300 captivating artificial reef sculptures placed along a designated trail, this immersive experience offers guests an unforgettable snorkeling adventure. Floating gracefully above the underwater exhibition, you can admire the sculptures that celebrate the island’s vibrant culture and history, while providing a protected habitat for marine species to thrive—an extraordinary opportunity to witness the exciting life of a diverse aquatic ecosystem just beneath the surface.
Get ready to snorkel these beautiful waters and enjoy the underwater exhibition, cast exclusively from members of the local community. The exhibition aims to bring the story of Sint Maarten to life through four distinct galleries that pay homage to Sint Maarten’s past and present. The galleries display a stunning and authentic evolution of the island’s history - bring your underwater camera to take memorable photos!
Beyond celebrating the island’s heritage, these unique sculptures play a crucial role in creating a protected habitat for marine species to thrive. Crafted from environmentally friendly materials, these sculptures seamlessly blend with and enhance the marine ecosystem providing sanctuaries for juvenile fish and encouraging the settlement of corals.
At the end of your tour, and if time allows, you may want to to stay at the resort where you have the option to rent beach chairs and umbrellas (available at the watersports booth), and enjoy some beach time (pool use is not permitted). Or perhaps you may want to try some food and drinks (additional cost). Whatever you choose, make your own way back to your cruise pier after this unique adventure!
