Departing from Civitavecchia enjoy a scenic drive through the beautifully tendered farmland in the Maremma area. You will stop off at Tarquinia, where a photo opportunity will be had before continuing on to Tuscania. Tuscania was an Etruscan town.

Here you will have free time to explore the surrounding area or maybe just relax in a local cafe with a refreshment. After your short break for leisure time, you will continue on to Lake Bolsena, the largest volcanic lake in Europe. Many photo opportunities to be had here! Moving on to Marta, a quaint fishermans village, you will have plenty of free time to take photographs and take in the beautiful scenery before heading back to the port of Civitavecchia.

If you wish to visit the Church of St Peter in Tuscania the tour duration may be extended to 4 and a half hours. This is a remarkable example of Romanesque art of the 12th - 13th century, the crypt of this church is also famous for many film locations.

The Church of St Peter is closed on Mondays.
