The adventure begins along the renowned Monti Sartorius trail, one of the most evocative routes within Parco dell'Etna, celebrated for its remarkable geological formations and rich botanical diversity. As you walk through an enchanting forest of Betula aetnensis, an endemic birch species found only on Etna and recognized by its striking white bark, you will feel immersed in a unique volcanic ecosystem shaped by centuries of eruptions and renewal. The landscape gradually opens to reveal seven perfectly aligned eruptive cones, formed during the historic 1865 eruption.
