Overview
Malta is the largest of the three major islands that constitute the Maltese archipelago. As well as the Mediterranean climate, visitors can enjoy expansive beaches, a thriving nightlife and 7,000 years of intriguing history.
This half-day shore excursion begins with a scenic drive to the old fortified city of Vittoriosa. Here you will enjoy a panoramic view of the fortifications and the marina, with an opportunity for a photo stop. Next is a visit to Marsaxlokk, Malta's largest fishing village. Immerse yourself in the ambiance as you stroll amidst the fishing boats known as "luzzus". Enjoy the charm of this traditional fishing village.
A drive through tiny pretty villages will then take you to the Blue Grotto, a system of sea caverns with fantastic light reflections inside and a beautiful large arch. The tour will stop here for you to observe the stunning colours and light changes.
From here, you'll drive through the Maltese countryside towards Mdina, which was once Malta's capital city. In Mdina you will observe stunning views from Mdina's view point and walk through its narrow streets.
Before concluding the tour and heading back to the port, your will drive around the fortifications of Valletta, Malta's capital city.
Please note: This tour involves little walking, and is therefore suitable for those with walking or mobility issues. If unsure, please contact us to check suitability.
