Overview
As you make your way towards the skylift, you will be taken up to the top of the viewpoint of Mt. Hoven (1011m) this will take approximately 5 minutes. Loen Skylift is one of the steepest cable cars in the world and this offers some of the most amazing views of the Norwegian Fjord landscape.
As you reach the top of Mt. Hoven, you will have the chance to look around the beautiful Hoven restaurant, which will give you unforgettable panoramic views overlooking some of the most amazing locations around the glacier. You will have the chance to see Mt Skala and Lake Lovatnet in the East, Jostedalsbreen Glacier and Olden in the South, and the Nordfjord that winds its way towards Stryn in the west.
Once you have taken in all of the viewpoints of these picturesque destinations, you will now have the chance to explore the mountain at your own leisure and discover all of the secret trails around the glacier.
You can have as much time as you like at Mt Hoven, shuttle buses run every half an hour so enjoy yourself, grab some lunch at the lovely Hoven Restaurant as you enjoy the views. Once you are ready, head back on the skylift and head back to the port in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure.
The skylift is very steep so be careful getting on and off the skylift, passengers with walking difficulties or wheelchair users will have the choice of sitting in the Hoven Restaurant where they can enjoy the view without walking around.
