Overview
After you have disembarked your tender boat, you will be guided to the traditional wooden boat in preparation for your boat trip. The first stop will be the island of Nea Kameni which is still classed as an active volcano. Visitors and tourists from all over the world are attracted to this island due to the history and also the powerful sulphur springs. This island is approximately 2kms in length and is uninhabited. Once the traditional boat has ported, we will disembark and have a guided walking tour to the craters.
After the visit to Nea Kameni we then board the wooden boat to continue the tour to Palea Kameni island. Unfortunately we cannot walk onto this island, however this island is known for its hot springs, so people who wish to swim can do so. The traditional wooden boat stops very close to the hot springs so you will be able to step off the boat into the sea water by using the ladder from the boat. You then can swim 20 meters until you reach the sulphur waters. For those who do not wish to swim you may remain on the wooden boat.
After the short stop at Palea Kameni we then head back to the old port of Fira where the tour will end.
