Beautiful Santorini Sunset Cruise

Overview

Sail across Santorini’s beautiful ‘caldera’ (flooded crater) and visit the islands of Nea Kameni and Thirasia on this 6-hour tour.

Board a sightseeing boat from the old port and admire Santorini’s cliffs. As you cruise to Nea Kameni enjoy free time to walk around its volcanic crater and swim in the warm springs.

Your tour starts from the picturesque old port of Santorini. Gialos, the Old Port, lies below Fira, nestled at the foot of a rocky cliff. You will be surprised with the steep slopes of the Caldera and in the end the tiny port will appear under these huge rocks and the cave houses that seem to dangle on the cliff. Your guides will be waiting for you, to give you all the important information and to orientate you on the boat.

Your first destination will be the famous volcano of Santorini! After 20 minutes sailing, you will arrive at Nea Kameni’s jetty. Then, you will walk to the volcano’s ridge with your guide who will explain everything about the history and geology of the volcano. You will stay at the volcanic island for around 1.5 hours then you will embark your boat for the next stop.

Sailing to the island of Palea Kameni, where the famous hot springs are located on the west side, a place that is really popular for its thermal waters. Enjoy a stop here for 30 minutes at a distance of 30 meters from the shallow waters of Agios Nikolaos’ beach. The waters are mixed with mud that are full of sulfur, iron and other metals coming from the volcano and are very good for the skin, rheumatism, arthritis and other physical pains. In order to reach Agios Nikolaos’ beach it is essential to swim extremely well.

Sailing above the underwater craters from Palea Kameni to Thirasia Island, the boat will anchor close to the island. Your experienced staff will prepare everything for you so as to relax and enjoy our Greek tasteful buffet while capturing amazing photos of the Aegean sea.

During sunset time, your crew will serve you wine and snacks - delicious meatballs, stuffed wine leaves with rice, white cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, and olives.

Your tour ends at sunset time. Your boat sets sail and the sun dives to the sea in the northernmost part of the island. Your boat will stop very close to Oia village, where you will have the chance to watch the warm light of the setting sun under the violet sky before the night falls and capture those memorable photos! This is the most unforgettable experience as the Caldera and the village of Oia will turn into gold color.

After departing from your final destination, your tour will finish at the old port of Fira (or Athinios port). Back on land you will make your own way back to go back to Fira town or to your cruise ship tender.
