After meeting your tour guide at the port of Catania, you will board a comfortable vehicle and begin a scenic drive toward the charming hilltop village of Castelmola. Perched about 500 meters above sea level and included among Italy’s most beautiful villages, Castelmola captivates visitors with its authentic medieval atmosphere and breathtaking panoramic views.
Upon arrival, your guided visit will begin in Sant’Antonio Square, the vibrant heart of the village. From here, you can admire a spectacular panorama overlooking the Ionian coast, the elegant town of Taormina, and the Sicilian mainland. The square is distinguished by its ancient lava-stone walls, the historic Church of Sant’Antonino, and, at the top of a staircase, the evocative ruins of the old castle that silently tell stories of centuries past. As you stroll through the characteristic narrow streets lined with stone houses and flower-filled balconies, you will reach the Mother Church dedicated to San Nicola di Bari, a remarkable vantage point offering magnificent views of Mount Etna, Europe’s highest active volcano.
Castelmola is also renowned for its traditional almond wine, a sweet local specialty typically enjoyed after meals. During your free time, you may relax in one of the cozy cafés in the historic center and savor this unique delicacy while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere of the village.
The second part of your excursion continues to Taormina, a world-famous destination celebrated for its extraordinary natural beauty and timeless charm. For centuries, writers, artists, and travelers have been enchanted by its dramatic landscapes and refined elegance. The town’s main street, Corso Umberto, originally an ancient Roman road, stretches between Porta Catania and Porta Messina and serves as the lively heart of Taormina. As you walk along this picturesque boulevard, you will encounter historic palaces, beautiful churches, elegant boutiques, and inviting restaurants. One of the most scenic spots is Piazza IX Aprile, a panoramic terrace offering sweeping views of Mount Etna and the stunning Bay of Giardini Naxos.
The undisputed symbol of Taormina is its remarkable Ancient Theatre, the second largest in Sicily. This extraordinary Greco-Roman monument, set against the dramatic backdrop of the sea and Mount Etna, can be visited independently during your free time, allowing you to fully appreciate its history and unparalleled setting.
At the end of the tour, your guide will meet you at the designated meeting point and accompany you back to your ship in Catania, concluding a memorable journey through two of Sicily’s most enchanting destinations.

You will be met at the port of Kusadasi, you will then be guided to your air conditioned transportation ready to commence this tour.
This tour is a small group tour, which has a maximum of 12 passengers per vehicle, so please reserve your seats as early as possible because this tour sells out quickly. Leaving from the port of Kusadasi, we will make our way to the famous site of House of Virgin Mary. The journey to House of Mary will take approximately 20 minutes (traffic depending), along the route your professional English speaking guide will be giving you commentary on the history and the culture of the area.
On arrival at House of Mary, your guide will walk you through the site, taking you to the entrance of the small church, here you will enter the church alone, please be aware, there is limited space in the church. As you exit the church, there is a opportunity to light a candle to display. In this area you will also find a wall, which holds a lot of hand written notes tied to the wall, where visitors have left their thoughts for all to read. The wells here also have taps to refill your water bottles, this water is said to be holy water.
Meeting up with your tour guide again, the tour will then commence to Ephesus the historical site. On entering Ephesus with your guide, they will be giving you information about the Baths of Scholastica, the Temple of Hadrian, the Biblical and the Grand Theatre are just some of the sites you will get to view and learn about. Ephesus is truly a most wonderful experience and one not to be missed. Please note there are not a lot of shaded area's in Ephesus and can get extremely hot, it is advised to wear comfortable footwear and take plenty of water.
Free time will be given to explore the many souvenir stands at the end of the tour of Ephesus.
Finally, when reaching the bottom of this most historical site, we will head toward the Artemis Temple, said to be one of the original wonders of the world. Unfortunately, there is not a lot left of this famous temple, but the guide will talk you through how it would have looked so many years ago and also explain the stories of this once, amazing area.
At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to Kusadasi port, in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure.

Your tour will commence with a scenic journey to Oia, admiring the panoramic view of the Aegean Sea and the neighboring islands along the way. Oia enjoys a hilltop location which offers breath-taking views across the Gulf of Santorini. This beautiful village with its narrow streets, traditional white churches and blue domes provides a picture-postcard vision of the Greek Islands.
Your first stop is Oia, where you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings, do a little souvenir shopping and have lunch (at your own expense) if you so wish. Your professional escort will be on hand to recommend the best taverns/restaurants to dine, or any other information you need.
After lunch and exploration, your tour will move on to one of the island's most famous wineries. Viniculture is an ancient art in Santorini, thanks to the volcanic soil. There is also an opportunity to taste the wines before returning to Fira - the tasting of the wine is for adults over the age of 18 years. At the winery you will be able to taste two white and one red wine from a selection locally brewed in the distillery. You will enjoy around 50 minutes at the winery, and there is the opportunity to visit the shop on site and purchase wine - a wonderful souvenir to take home to enjoy after your cruise vacation!
Fira is the capital of Santorini, and you will have some free time to souvenir shop, take memorable photos or just enjoy exploring the narrow streets and enjoy a coffee.
The vehicle will then head back to Fira where a cable car/lift will take you down to the port where you board the tender back to the cruise ship.
If time permits and you choose to stay longer at Fira and make your own way to the cable car, do allow plenty of time to take the cable car and your ships tender boat for your return - cable car queues are expected in this popular destination.
