Overview
You will be met at the port of Seydisdjordur ready to start the exploration of this beautiful Icelandic destination, not to mention, puffin watching!
After we embark the motorcoach, we will start the journey to Harnarholmi, where we will be able to see the highlight of the tour, otherwise known as the 'Parrots of the Sea' the puffins. This island is a nature and bird watchers paradise, situated on the coastline of Borgarfjorour Eystri. Capturing these amazing creatures diving into the sea, the colours of these beautiful birds dazzling the waters, or simply just nestling on the rocks tending to their burrows, simply fascinating and something not to be missed!
The tour will then continue to our next stop, which is Alfaborg, located on the outskirts of the Borgarfjorour Eystri, otherwise known as the 'Elf Queen of Iceland'. Alfaborg is famous for Icelandic Folklore and Icelandic Heritage. Boasting panoramic views of the coastline and peaceful atmosphere, this stop is truly a breath taking experience and offers the true Icelandic feel.
Admire the Lindarbakki Turf House, this unusual house is perfect to capture memorable photos and take in the endless fjord views and if time permits, a refreshment stop at a local cafe with its fantastic land and seascapes.
Returning back to the port of Seydisdjordur, the final stop will be the Gufufoss Waterfall. We will find the best view point to capture the best photo opportunities of this East Icelandic nature. This is said to resemble the famous Skogafoss - one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, the Gufufoss is said to be a smaller version, but just as beautiful.
After this final stop and capturing truly magnificent memories, our tour has come to an end, we will make our way back to Seydisdjordur port in plenty of time to meet your cruise ships departure.
