After meeting your tour guide at the port of Catania, you will board a comfortable vehicle and begin a scenic drive toward the charming hilltop village of Castelmola. Upon arrival, your guided visit will begin in Sant’Antonio Square, the vibrant heart of the village. The second part of your excursion continues to Taormina, a world-famous destination celebrated for its extraordinary natural beauty and timeless charm. The town’s main street, Corso Umberto, originally an ancient Roman road, stretches between Porta Catania and Porta Messina and serves as the lively heart of Taormina. As you walk along this picturesque boulevard, you will encounter historic palaces, beautiful churches, elegant boutiques, and inviting restaurants. One of the most scenic spots is Piazza IX Aprile, a panoramic terrace offering sweeping views of Mount Etna and the stunning Bay of Giardini Naxos.
The undisputed symbol of Taormina is its remarkable Ancient Theatre, the second largest in Sicily. This extraordinary Greco-Roman monument, set against the dramatic backdrop of the sea and Mount Etna, can be visited independently during your free time, allowing you to fully appreciate its history and unparalleled setting.
