Overview
Begin your tour at Hiroshima Port, where you will travel to Miyajimaguchi. From there, enjoy a short ferry ride to Miyajima Island.
Upon arrival, take a leisurely walk through the island and visit Itsukushima Shrine, one of Japan’s most iconic Shinto shrines. Admire and photograph the famous Great Torii Gate, explore the shrine grounds, and soak up the traditional atmosphere of Miyajima. Discover its historic streets, local shops, and scenic waterfront, with free time to explore and take photographs at your own pace.
After exploring Miyajima, return by ferry to Miyajimaguchi and continue to Shukkeien Garden in central Hiroshima. This beautiful traditional Japanese garden features tranquil ponds, elegant bridges, winding walking paths, seasonal plants, and carefully designed landscapes. Enjoy a relaxing stroll through the gardens and capture photographs of the picturesque scenery.
Next, travel to Hiroshima Castle. Explore the castle grounds and surrounding park, taking in the historic architecture and peaceful surroundings. The castle will be an exterior photo stop if time permits, keeping the itinerary flexible according to traffic conditions, ferry schedules, and the time spent sightseeing at the previous locations.
After visiting Hiroshima Castle, return to Hiroshima Port, where your tour concludes.
