Overview
Your journey will start with a short drive to the cashew factory where you will learn about the cashew production process and watch how its been taken out of the shells by the worker which 95% of them are women. There are 27 grades of cashew nuts depending on their color, size, and pieces.
Your next stop will be the beautiful Kadri Manjunath Temple situated just 4 km distance from the heart of Mangalore City was built back in the 11th century. The scenic beauty of the Kadri hills, the presence of the pre-historic caves cut into the laterite mounds and the historical and religious importance of the Manjunatha temple lend particular enchantment to this center.
Moving on with the tour you will visit the Church of St. Aloysius, the church was built by Jesuit Missionaries in 1880 and its interiors were painted by the Italian Jesuit Antonio Moscheni in 1899. Also considered a world-class tourist destination, with amazing architecture, extraordinary layouts, and a well though execution that matches none. Come and be at one with God and the beauty of his creation and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the atmosphere.
Your final stop will be at the Gokarnath Temple also known as Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra was built in 1912 and is dedicated to Gokarnanatha, a form of Lord Shiva. The temple is located 2 km away from the city of Mangalore and is decorated with murals of various gods and goddesses.
At the end of the tour, you will be returned to the cruise port to join your ship in plenty of time.
