Overview

You will be met at the port of Phu My, from here enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 30 minutes to Long Son Island, passing peaceful countryside landscapes along the way.

Upon arrival, discover the island’s traditional floating aquaculture farms, where local fishermen raise a variety of seafood, including oysters and other fish species. Meet local fishermen and learn about their daily lives, traditional work, and the importance of aquaculture to the island community.

Continue to the fascinating Long Son Big House Complex, a unique cultural and historical site connected to the story of Mr. Le and his family, who sailed from Kien Giang Province to the Vung Tau area in search of new land and helped reclaim and develop Long Son Island.

Construction of the Big House began around 1900 and was completed in 1929. The extensive complex includes places of worship, family residences, guest houses, a kitchen, a cemetery, and other buildings, all linked together to form a remarkable architectural ensemble that is unlike most traditional Vietnamese sites.

Take time to explore the complex and meet members of the local family, gaining a personal insight into the island’s history, traditions, and way of life. You will also enjoy a delicious local lunch with the family, providing an authentic opportunity to experience the warm hospitality and traditional lifestyle of southern Vietnam.

Before returning to Phu My Port, there will be an optional stop at a local market, where you can browse for souvenirs and local products.
