Overview
The tour will begin with a drive through the picturesque Lanzarote roads and wonderful landscape to visit Timanfaya National Park, a moonscape produced by the eruptions that struck the island between 1730 and 1736 and became one of the most important volcanic episodes over the last 500 years of mankind and a place of dramatic beauty.
Here you will learn all about the history, habitation and also have many photo opportunities. The coach will take you on a wonderful journey through the park, on a one way road witnessing the most amazing landscape and lava fields that will astound you. Witness breath taking views during your journey which seems like you are traveling on a different planet!
During the visit to the Timanfaya National Park, you will witness demonstrations of how hot the ground is. See water being poured down the holes in the ground to cause an explosion of steam and water like a geyser. Feel how hot the pebbles are that surround the area, then take a walk into the restaurant where you will witness food being cooked from the heat of a hole in the ground. The flooring in the restaurant feels like it has underground heating as the warmth seeps through your shoes.
The tour will also visit El Golfo and its famous Green Lagoon.
Before returning back to the port we will have a short stop in La Geria, the vineyard area, maybe have a little wine tasting or go to explore and have some free time.

Lanzarote can get extremely warm, although it can get a little cooler in Timanfaya, a light jacket is recommended.

It is recommended to take sun cream and a sun hat, as at times on this excursion it can get unseasonably hot. It is also recommended to drink plenty of water.

Please wear comfortable footwear for this excursion as there is some walking on uneven ground, inclines and steps.

During the panoramic journey through the National Park, the coach will stop for photo opportunities. However, guests are not permitted to disembark during the panoramic ride as the National Park is a protected area.

There are bathroom facilities at Timanfaya, there is also a cafe and a souvenir shop
