If you are looking for a unique experience - this is it! A sidecar is a motorcycle with a car attached to it; making it a tricycle, and can take up to three persons, two on the bike and one in the cart.
You won't be doing the driving but 1 or 2 persons can book a sidecar, where you sit back and enjoy the views! Your liscensed driver guide meets you at your cruise port and will lead you on a fun journey around Funchal. The city really comes to life in the evening and your driver knows the best spots and routes to take you up close to have the best experience.
Drive through exciting neighbourhoods and take in the atmosphere, see historic landmarks such as the Cathedral and enjoy the views of the picturesque streets. Drive past the well known areas filled with cafes and bars and see what life is like after dark.
There are many opportunities to capture memorable photos and take in the stunning views of Funchals harbor. Your sidecar tour can be personalized to your preferences, just let your driver know so they can plan the best route for your time ashore! Whether that's landmarks or viewpoints your driver will know where to take you.
Throughout your tour, your driver will communicate with you during the trip via a wireless device in your helmet, so you will not miss any interesting fact or attraction during your ride.
This is an immersive experience and you will feel part of the island, and at the end of your tour you will return to your cruise ship, or if time permits you may decide to stay and enjoy the city and make your own way back!
