If you are looking for a unique experience - this is it! A sidecar is a motorcycle with a car attached to it; making it a tricycle, and can take up to three persons, two on the bike and one in the cart.

You won't be doing the driving but 1 or 2 persons can book a sidecar, where you sit back and enjoy the views! Your licensed driver guide meets you at your cruise port and starting in Funchal, hop into your vintage sidecar, helmets on, you are ready to start your journey to Ponta de São Lourenço!

Your drive follows scenic coastal roads, the Eastern and rugged side of the island showcases rugged landscape, cliffs and impressive views of the Atlantic Ocean. Your driver knows the best scenic stops and viewpoints, where you can take in the views of the island and of course, capture those memorable photos.

Your tour stops to enjoy a visit at the Ponta de São Lourenço Nature Reserve. This is the islands protected area where you will see volcanic rock formations, the views of the sea cliffs will take your breath away and the endless panoramic views to enjoy.

Journey on, through local villages, with their unique charm and your driver will stop along the route to showcase local history, the architecture of the region and sample regional flavors. Throughout your tour, your driver will communicate with you during the trip via a wireless device in your helmet, so you will not miss any interesting fact or attraction during your ride.

Having enjoyed the beauty of the East coast in your sidecar, your return journey takes you back to your cruise port.

Considerations

Hotel guests for Funchal, Caniço and Câmara de Lobos pick up points to be arranged at the time of booking.
Food, water, entrance fees are not included.

Maximum weight per passenger is 150kg.
