Overview

The ancient Island of Delos is off the coast of Mykonos, you will take a boat to explore this amazing Island!

Delos is one of the most important mythological, historical and archaeological sites in Greece. Stone huts found on the Island indicate that it has been inhabited since the 3rd millennium BCE.

There are many wonderful sites to see on Delos such as the theatre, the small sacred lake, the Minoan fountain which dates to 6 BC. Don't forget the Terrace of the Lions which is in beautiful condition! This was dedicated to Apollo by the people of Naxos shortly before 600 BCE, it originally had nine to twelve squatting, snarling marble guardian lions along the sacred way. Amazingly today seven lions remain!

This tour is perfect for those who have visited Mykonos before and have a love of history!

Special Instructions

Please note this tour departs from close to Mykonos Old Port - and requires a short Sea Bus / taxi ride dependent from where your cruise ship docks (transportation is not included).
This tour is 4 hours in length but please note that in order to ensure you will be on board plenty of time before departure, the duration will be subject to variations based on your ship's arrival / departure timings. The boat departs at 10:00 AM and your meeting time will be assigned upon booking.
It is recommended to bring plenty of water and sun protection - as Mykonos can get unseasonably hot.
Please wear comfortable footwear for this excursion as there is some walking on uneven ground, inclines and steps.
