Overview
Your guide welcomes you at the cruise gate where you will board your bus and settle in for the journey to Briksdal Glacier. Leaving the cruise port behind your journey takes your through the area of Nordfjord and along the famous Hornindal Lake.
The travel time is around 1.5 hours each way and your knowledegable guide will share stories along the way. On arrival at Briksdal you can choose to either walk the 3 km up to the glacier or you can buy a ticket with one of the “Troll Cars” that will take you there.
This is a personal choice, however to maximize your time it is suggested to take the Troll Cars up and walk down. The troll cards have limited availablity and it is recommended to book this in advance. You will arrive Briksdal approx. 1.5 hours after departure time from Nordfjordeid.
Suggest to book a Troll car 100 minutes after departure from Nordfjordeid. For example departure Nordfjordeid 09:15, book Troll car earliest 11:00. Note that from the point the Troll Cars stops, it is a 500 meter walk to the lake in front of the glacier.
The Briksdal Glacier is a very popular attraction in the region and forms part of the Jostedal Glacier National Park, you will enjoy taking in the wonderful scenery of the area.
Make time for your coffee and cake and can be enjoyed at any time during your tour - a delicious cake buffet and coffee at the cafeteria at Briksdalen. Eat as much as you want! You can also buy lunch, drinks and souvenirs. You will have 2.5 hours to spend in Briksdalen before the bus returns to Port of Nordfjordeid.

00:00 – Departure Port (Drive along the Hornindal Lake)
01:30 – Arrival Briksdal (explore on your own).
04:00 – Departure Briksdal (Drive along the Hornindal Lake)
05:30 – Arrival Nordfjordeid quay next to the ship

Please arrive at your meeting point 15 minutes before the start time for an on-time departure.

Guests make their own way to the meeting point, which is a 50 meters walk from the cruise dock.
