From here you leave downtown for a short journey to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. There is a lot to take in as you enjoy the exhibits, The Welcome House and exploration of the indigenous peoples.

Take a relaxing walking trail around Lake Tiulana, with its traditional dwellings, and take some memorable photos - you have around 90 minutes at the Center and whatever you choose to see, remember to dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.

Meet the Centers cultural ambassadors, with their own unique connections and heritage as you learn about Alutiiq, Aleut, and Southeast Alaska Native peoples.
