Overview
Its just a short ride from the cruise ship pier to the start of your fishing adventure. With everything you need already prepared, you'll leave the Hoonah boat harbor for the abundant waters of Port Fredrick.
The experienced and skilled captain and crew of this 32 comfortable boat are committed to personal service and to working their hardest to put a tasty "barn door" halibut on your line. These feisty (and tasty) fish put up quite a fight so you're in for some action.
Your crew will target the specific type of Pacific Halibut that is in season during your visit to increase your odds of success.

All guests over age 16 must purchase a fishing license and stamps online in advance of your tour. Please go to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game website or use this link: https://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=license.main.

Guests to arrive at the meeting location 15 minutes prior, for an on time departure.

Cruise guests docking at the Adventure Dock, allow 5/10 minutes to walk to your meeting location.

Cruise guests docking at the Wilderness Dock, allow 20/25 minutes to walk, or pay to ride the Gondola to your meeting location.

This tour requires a minimum of 4 guests to operate. We will do our best to combine you with other guests.

Guests using foldable wheelchairs are required to advise at the time of booking. Space is not guaranteed and subject to availability.

Fish can be processed and shipped home at your expense and will be discussed by the fishing captain on the day of the tour.

Dress for the weather, wear warm layers and comfortable shoes.

The boat is equipped with a heater and a restroom.

This tour will operate during a light rain, bring raingear.

There is a limit of one halibut per person. The fish must measure 40€ or less or 80€ or more. You may catch and release up to the point that a fish is retained. At that point, you have caught your limit and are through fishing halibut for the day.

This program fills up very fast so we recommend you book as early as possible.

This is a shared fishing program where you will be placed with other guests.
