Overview
Your tour starts with a short drive through downtown Juneau to Auke Bay; on your way, look out for humpback and orca whales, Dall's porpoises, stellar sea lions, harbor seals, bald eagles, and more.
Arriving at the Bay, you will step aboard your boat and let your experienced Captain lead the way through the Alaskan waters. Your knowledgeable guides will share the habits of these beautiful mammals and the best spots to spot whales and other wildlife; have your cameras ready! You will enjoy 2 hours on the water during the whale watching portion.
From here, its back to land to the well-known Mendenhall Glacier. For 1.5 hours on your own enjoy the overlook point, take in the spectacular views, get ready to take plenty of pictures, and enjoy the Visitors Center to learn about this 13-mile glacier and its surroundings.

Optional shuttle pass for guests arriving at the AJ Dock, $3 (USD) for an all-day pass.

All other cruise docks are under a 10 minute walk to your meeting point.

The boat ride can be bumpy and unsuitable for guests with neck, back, or hip problems.

For guests on the Celebrity Solstice with a port time of 1:30 pm-8:30 pm, the duration of the tour will be shortened to fit with the ship's time in port. The time spent at Mendenhall Glacier will be reduced to 45 minutes - 1 hour.

This tour is approximately 5.5 - 6 hours (including transportation) if you spend 1.5 hours at the Mendenhall Glacier.

Your tour includes entrance to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center and snacks. During check-out, you are presented with options for your desired tour time, which will be assigned best suited to your ships itinerary and confirmed on your tour voucher.

A shuttle is available to the Mt. Roberts Tram for ships that dock at the AJ dock. The cost is $3 (USD) for an all-day pass.

Guests must be able to get on and off the bus and navigate the steep incline between the bus and the whale watching boat. Folding, non-motorized wheelchairs are welcome - but we cannot accommodate any motorized wheelchairs/scooters or those that do not fold up flat. If you are using a manual folding wheelchair - you will be able to use a ramp to get from the bus drop-off point down to the boat. This is a steeper ramp so a member of your party will need to assist you in getting down/up the ramp. You will need to take a few steps to get onto the boat. The folding manual wheelchair will then be stored on the boat.
