You will board your transport ready to start this active adventure in Juneau! Your guide welcomes you and you will have time to gear up and complete your orientation - should anybody have any questions about the paddling, now is the time to ask! You are now all set to start your bucket list adventure!
Your tour takes you on a leisurely walk with your professional guide, through the famous rainforest - Tongass National Forest. You will reach the point where you embark on the canoe adventure.
The real adventure is just about to start.....as you paddle towards the breath taking Mendenhall Glacier, through the icy waters and capturing the most amazing vistas of this mighty glacier and the famous cascading Nugget Falls.
Arriving at Glacier beach, disembark your canoe, and take in the mesmerizing views as your guide provides the history of the glacier and how it has changed over the years.
This tour really does get you to the closest point of this amazing natural wonder with the break taking ice formations, something that should not be missed when porting in Juneau.
This tour takes you to explore around 100 yards from Mendenhall glacier, there is no trekking on the glacier.

Considerations

Minimum of 4 guests to run this tour, a maximum of 12 guests.

Rain boots are provided. If you desire to bring your own waterproof hiking boots, please feel free to bring them.

Dress for the weather and wear warm layers and bring rain gear (although some rain gear is provided).

This tour operates in all weather conditions.

You will be in either an 8 or 12 person canoes, depending on group size on the day.

Guests must be in physically fit condition and capable of paddling 5-6 miles and hiking about 2 miles roundtrip.

All guests must know how to swim to participate in this tour.

This hike is set as strenuous, this is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties, back problems, or pregnant women.

Souvenir water bottle is included however it is advised to bring your own reusable water bottle.
