Small Group Anchorage Brews Tour - Hotel Guests

Overview

Make your own way to your downtown meeting point and meet your knowledgeable ‘Hoperator’ for an off-the-beaten path tour of Anchorage full of sudsy fun!

You will be introduced to some of Anchorage’s finest breweries, brewers, beers, and Alaskan characters on this behind the scenes look at the local craft brewing industry.
The tour includes three stops, a minimum of 14 beer tastings, light appetizers at Midnight Sun Brewing Company, round trip transportation, and 4 hours of stories you'll be sure to recount to your friends back home!

Your first stop will be King St. Brewing Co. where you will dive into a behind the scenes private brewery tour hosted by a brewmaster.
This crash course into Brewing 101 will delve into the 4 main ingredients that go into beer: water, malted grain, hops, and yeast and how variations of the ingredients create the different beer styles that we all enjoy.

The second stop will be a short drive to the oldest brewery in Anchorage, the Midnight Sun Brewing Co.
Here, you will sit back and relax in the LOFT taproom while snacking on some light appetizers and sipping their BOLD brews.
Depending on the day of the week, you will finish the tour at either Cynosure Brewing, or Turnagain Brewing.
Cynosure Brewing’s convivial taproom offers well-balanced subtly sophisticated European-inspired lagers and ales.
Turnagain brewery specializes in Belgian Style and Sour Beer, Turnagain Brewing does Old World traditional beers the Alaskan way!

From a large craft brewery to finishing at a small family-owned brewery, you'll experience and learn how each has found their place in a growing a competitive market in the Far North.

At the end of your tour, return to your drop off point and you will make your own way back to your hotel.
