Overview
Leaving your cruise port behind, sit back and enjoy the changing scenery as you drive deep into the Grand Etang Rainforest, climbing to 1,900ft (579m) above sea level. Look out for the mischievous Mona monkey along the way!
Arriving at Annandale Falls, the daring jumpers will thrill you as they leap into the small plunge pool – a great photo opportunity! Or you may want to cool off and take a dip in the cool water surrounded by tropical landscapes.
From here it’s onwards to Fort Frederick, your local guide will tell you about Grenada’s history, regaling tales from the Grenada revolution, Prime Minister Maurice Bishop, the revolutionary leader and more.
Continuing along the picturesque ridge, your drive takes you to the Grand Anse Craft and Spice Market, right on the world-famous Grand Anse Beach.
The inviting powder-white sand beach awaits, and you have time to enjoy a refreshing swim in the sea. Or you may want to browse the local market stalls, the perfect place to stock up on souvenirs and gifts. The market is also home to several bars offering local juices, beers, and freshly made rum punch. We recommend Esther’s Bar for their famous Mojitos, a real taste of the Caribbean!
