Cadiz Discovery City Tour

Overview

As you disembark your ship you will be met by your driver, where you will board your comfortable transportation. This half-day tour gives your group a perfect introduction to Cadiz. A true Spanish gem - one of the most beautiful cities and so full of historical sites it is breathtaking!

This four hour excursion is a wonderful highlights package. You’ll get to see everything the guide books tell you to see and based on your group size you’ll have an experienced guide on hand to make sure you really appreciate it all.

Setting out from the Port of Cadiz Hotel you’ll be driven around the city, around the city walls. It’s the very best way to see the sights and gives you a wonderful, panoramic view. Some of the sights you’ll see include the Roman Theatre, San Sebastian Castle, and Caleta Beach.

When you reach the Plaza de Espana (one of the highlights of any Cadiz city tour), it’s time to stretch your legs and get about on foot. This is where you’ll meet your guide for the day, and they’ll happy to fill you in on all the essential information.

There are approximately 2 hours of walking around Cadiz and the famous sites of this destination.

The superb Cortes monument is another must-see. Dating back to the early nineteenth century, it is a spectacular edifice – and surely one of the region’s most photographed monuments.

There’ll be time to stop off on your tour to look in on some of the excellent local museums too – the Archaeological and Fine Arts museums are both en route, and both well worth looking at. (Entrance tickets are not included within the price of the tour)

No visit to Cadiz would be complete without seeing the Cathedral, and there’ll be an opportunity for you to take a look inside too. It really is very beautiful – and is one of the undoubted highlights of a day that’s jam-packed full of them.

Then it’s back to the Populo quarter, behind the Roman theatre and on to the Town Hall – a fitting last stop.

It’s going to be a fast-moving and exhilarating day; so it’s time to head back to your port for a bit of a breather before dinner.
