Overview
Starting with a convenient pickup at your cruise port, you’ll board your private transportation and head straight into Rome for a full day of discovery.
Your tour begins at the Vatican Museums, home to centuries of artistic treasures, including the Galleries of Maps, Tapestries, and Candelabra, the Cortile della Pigna, Raphael’s Rooms, and more.
Within the Museums, you’ll visit the Sistine Chapel, where Michelangelo’s extraordinary frescoes—depicting scenes from Genesis and over 300 figures—adorn the entire ceiling.
Exiting the Museums, you’ll step into Vatican Square, where you can admire the grand façade of St. Peter’s Basilica, Michelangelo’s magnificent dome, and the impressive colonnades that frame the square.
Once your Vatican visit is complete, you’ll continue on to the highlights of ancient Rome with your private English-speaking guide, with the itinerary tailored to your interests. Your tour may include sites such as Capitoline Hill, the Roman Forum, the Colosseum (outside), and the Pantheon—one of Rome’s best-preserved ancient temples, which you’ll visit inside with tickets included. You may also explore iconic locations like Circus Maximus, Palatine Hill, or the Appian Way.
In addition, you can discover the Rome of the Popes and the Baroque era, including the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, and more.
