Overview
You will be met by your Venture Ashore representative at your cruise pier.
Your tour begins with a drive westwards, stopping at the panoramic viewpoint above the Old City for photographs. Your journey continues through the lovely countryside of Zupa Dubrovacka (Parish of Dubrovnik), and picturesque villages of Kupari, Srebreno, Mlini and Plat.
Take a drive through a chain of villages in the Konavle to visit one of the wine cellars in this area, and hear the story on wine production of this area. Continue the exploration of Dubrovnik area and get to the old watermill where you will be welcomed with a traditional welcome drink and waitresses dressed in traditional national costumes of Konavle area. You will be shown how flour is made.
Visit a column where cloth was produced until the mid-20th century. There were four columns on the river Ljuta, and this is the only one left where they locals have a presentation of weaving. Wool is washed and combed, before spinning and weaving process.
Relax and enjoy a glass of wine served with dried figs, smoked ham and homemade cheese and bread before your return to Dubrovnik for a short introductory tour of the Old City and its main sights. Enjoy some free time in the Old City, before returning to the cruise port.
