You will be met at the port of Kusadasi.
Sit back and relax ton the picturesque 60 minutes drive from the cruise port to the excavated ruins of Miletus. This ancient city was located near the Menderes River was founded by the Greeks. Although the city was abandoned in the 6th century when its harbors silted up rendering it inaccessible, Miletus once prospered, as you will discover by wandering through its remains.
It is here you will see the Greco-Roman theatre and the baths of Faustine. The theatre was able to hold an impressive 250000 spectators. The complex has water fountains that are shaped like Meander, the river god. Now lying on a plain 5 miles inland, it is hard to imagine that Miletus was once on a peninsula with four harbors.
From Miletus we will now travel south along the coast until we reach the ruins of Didyma. Home to both of the temples that were dedicated to the twins Apollo and Artemis. Its key landmark is the Temple of Apollo. Dating back to the 4th century BC, the temple of Apollo is one of the largest temples in the ancient world. This magnificent monument sacred oracle rivaled that of the more famed one in Delphi.
Head north so we can explore the World Heritage site, Ephesus. The fabulous ruins await your exploration, here you will discover one excavated building after another including the theatre where St Paul preached, the Church of the Virgin Mary and the library of Celsus. This was a monument constructed as a mausoleum with a separate library for scroll and codex.
With your journey back into ancient times now at an end, you will return back to your air-conditioned transportation ready to begin your journey back to Kusadasi.
You will be taken back to the port in plenty of time for your ships departure from port.

There is a lot of walking involved in this tour it is essential you wear suitable footwear. It also gets very warm in summertime please do not forget your sun cream and sunhat and drink plenty of water.
