From the moment you arrive in Florence, you'll learn all about the history of the city and its most important monuments. The first stop is the Palazzo Davanzati, the Museum of the old Florentine. This ancient palace displays many original artifacts and decorations from the XIV century. This intimate display will really give you a feel for how old the city is.
Continuing on, stop by Piazza della Signoria, home of Palazzo Vecchio, and Ponte Vecchio, the famous 14th-century bridge -- home of Florence's gold shops. Scenery aside, this is one of Florence's most famous landmarks. While here your guide will point out the many beautiful statues that fill the square.
Next up is Dante's District where you will see the beautiful Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and also Brunelleschi's Dome. Throughout the day you will enjoy a stop for a slice of pizza and also gelato from a local favorite eatery. If you chose, there is the option to pre-book the Accademia giving you the option to skip the line and make the most of your day.
