If you have never been to the magnificent Las Canadas National Park where many famous scenes from films have been recorded such as the incredible 'Clash of the Titans', or scenes from 'Doctor Who', then this is the tour for you!
This guided tour is ideal if you are looking for a relaxing visit with the opportunity to visit the Las Canadas National Park and Mount Teide, combined with the spectacular scenery and visit the highest point in Spain.
Your representative will be waiting for you at the cruise port entrance, where you will board your private transportation. Settle in and get ready for an easy going half-day tour with incredible photo opportunities!
Leaving the port behind, you will pass by the University town of La Laguna, then continuing through the Esperanza Forest, for a stop to admire the fauna and flora of the area.
As your tour continues, you will admire the beautiful green backdrops, gradually turn to grey, reds and blue – a sign that you are approaching the volcanic area, with the stunning Mount Teide, towering at 3718 meters taking centre stage, as you drive through the twists and turns you will experience amazing views over the island of Tenerife - you even feel like you are driving through the clouds!
Enjoy the many photo opportunities along the journey to Teide where you will stop to capture these breathtaking volcanic landscapes and sights. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, although you can choose to remain on the coach throughout the tour and enjoy the sights from the coach.
The temperature at Las Canadas is much lower than the coast, travel with a light coat or jacket, so you can enjoy the outdoors comfortably. As you step outside to admire the wonderful views along with the the natural volcanic stones and plants - it is forbidden to remove stones or plants from the National Park.
After visiting Mount Teide you will depart for a scenic journey as you return to your cruise port, in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure.
It is not possible to visit the Top of the Mount Teide by cable car due to tour timings.
