Overview
You will have an unbelievable experience on this 36 boat that was built to accommodate up to 14 passengers. Amenities onboard this custom-designed boat include a heated galley with seating for your comfort and specially-designed internal tanks to hold your catch. You will have two crew members to assist you with over 40 years experience. State law says only 6 poles in the water, but you are able to share amongst your group when you are a party over 6 people on one boat.
The focus of this trip, of course, is salmon fishing, and an 11 x 11 fishing cockpit area. This allows ample space for you to reel in the big one with ample seating inside and a stand-up head. You will be living the Alaskan fishing life in no time!
You will also want to be sure and keep an eye out as you never know what you might see in the wilderness surrounding Ketchikan!
This boat, besides being a wonderful experience, is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know if you need that service under special requests when you place your booking.

All guests over age 16 must purchase a fishing license and king salmon stamps online in advance of your tour. We highly recommend doing this before leaving home. Go to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game website or use this link: https://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=license.main

The King Salmon season for 2024 will open approximately June 15th. Prior to June 15th, you will be allowed to practice catch and release. At any time, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game can change the policy and enforce catch and release of all King Salmon during the season.

Each guest will be allowed to keep only one fish 28" in length.

The Federal Government has placed new limits on halibut fishing this year and has limited it to 1 fish per person and no larger than 40 inches, making fish about 22lbs (pounds) or less for the largest keeper. If you fish for halibut, we will practice catch and release. Halibut fishing only available for passengers that are in town for 8 hours.

The boat holds up to 14 guests, however, only 6 poles will be allowed in the water at a time.

Guests arriving at Ward Cove pier need to take a shuttle downtown (around $8 USD) and takes around 20 minutes. Departures are every 30 minutes, guests need to allow extra time to arrive at the meeting location.

Fishing licenses: The cost of a 1-day fishing license is $15 (USD) per person (required for those 16 years and older). Licenses are required and may be purchased on board the fishing boat by cash only. There is an additional $15 (USD) charge for the king salmon stamp. If you do not have a hard copy or you forget to bring a hard copy of your online license purchase, you will be required to buy a new license when you board. This must be purchased with cash only.
