SKAGWAY CRUISE PORT
Your 4-hour long The White Pass Summit and Beyond tour includes the following:

• South Klondike Highway tour by mini-bus
• White Pass Summit and Welcome to Alaska sign
• Summit Lake and Tormented Valley
• Northern Boreal Forest Wilderness
• Yukon border and Welcome to the Yukon sign
• Yukon Suspension Bridge admission and crossing
• Wildlife viewing potential
• Narration by guide about history and nature

Including the exhilarating Yukon Suspension Bridge Crossing and Yukon Border!

This journey along the route blazed by Klondike Gold Rush stampeders will take you back in time as you travel up the highway that parallels the Gold Rush Trail of 1898. Waterfalls and towering mountains will pass through your eye line at every turn, serving as the perfect back drop for observing the historic WP&YR railroad and Moore Creek Bridge. Miniature sub-alpine forest surrounds you on your arrival to the famous 3,292 foot White Pass Summit and the Welcome to Alaska sign. The incredible views coupled with the area's history sets up the ideal scenario for great Alaskan tales.

Once in Canada enjoy the crystal blue Summit Lake, Divided Lake and rugged Tormented Valley. Beyond Canadian customs at Fraser, you will continue into the captivating Northern Boreal Forest. The minimal roads, cities and industrial development will provide the perfect photo opportunities in one of the most untouched regions in North America. Vast Tutshi and Tagish lakes will impress you. The Yukon provides the best potential wildlife viewing from Skagway, so always be on watch for bears, moose, sheep, goats and more!

Our turnaround stop is the Welcome to Yukon sign for a great photo stop! Multiple stops throughout the tour allow for photos and breathing the fresh mountain air. This type of access to serene wilderness is a rare opportunity that shouldn't go missed. A great inclusion with this tour is a stop at the Yukon Suspension Bridge for the exciting crossing over the scenic Tutshi River canyon. Rushing rapids below you add to the drama and surrounding views are beautiful. You will have approximately 45 minutes here to view the educational displays, stop at the snack bar (for optional food purchase), as well as peruse the gift shop and use the restrooms. Your tour ends back at your cruise pier, with wonderful Alaskan memories!

-------------------------------------------------------

KETCHIKAN CRUISE PORT
Your 2-hour long Trolley Tour of Ketchikan, Saxman Totem Village & Wildlife at Herring Bay tour includes the following:

• Fully narrated tour by experienced guide
• San Francisco Cable Car-style trolley
• Exploration of Saxman Totem Village
• Visit to Herring Bay
• Wildlife viewing
• City tour of Ketchikan

You will immediately feel the towns history by stepping onboard your cable car trolley. Taking in the towns cannery, City Park, residential areas, and the waterfront, including well-known Creek Street, the former historic Red Light district with its wooden boardwalks. Your professional guide will tell tales of the "good old days," sharing stories of dance halls, brothels, and bootleggers!

Then, leaving the town behind, you head south to Herring Bay, a quaint area far from the crowds. This beautiful small inlet cove allows you to experience the sights of incredible wildlife. During salmon season, black bears, bald eagles, blue herring, and seals are often spotted in this area. So be sure to keep your eyes wide open and your cameras ready!

Your final stop brings you to the Saxman Totem Village. The park is unique, being the only totem park in Alaska with 29 authentic totems carved by Tlingit and Haida natives. The poles were moved here from the original sites in the 1930s and have been restored by native carvers. Your guide will share tribes carving rituals as you watch carvers turning tree trunks into works of art and culture.

Returning to downtown Ketchikan, you can be dropped off at Creek Street to stroll the boardwalk, do some shopping, or continue the ride back to return to your cruise ship.

PLEASE NOTE: The Trolley Tour in Ketchikan does not operate on Saturdays and offers only morning departure times. In the event that your ship docks in Ketchikan on a Saturday or arrives after 11:30 am, the Potlatch Totem Park, Alaskan Wildlife, and Ketchikan Highlights Bus Tour will be substituted for the trolley tour. This alternative tour follows a nearly identical itinerary, visiting Potlatch instead of Saxman, and is conducted via van/coach rather than a trolley. Additionally, to compensate for the change, the tour is extended by an extra 30 minutes in duration.
