JUNEAU CRUISE PORT
Your 6-hour long Whale Watching and Mendenhall Glacier Combo Tour includes the following:

• Glacier and boat harbor drive with narration

• 1.5 hours to explore at the Mendenhall Glacier (May be shortened to fit with your ships itinerary)

Your tour starts with a short drive through downtown Juneau to Auke Bay; on your way, look out for humpback and orca whales, Dalls porpoises, stellar sea lions, harbor seals, bald eagles, and more.
Arriving at the Bay, you will step aboard your boat and let your experienced captain lead the way through the Alaskan waters. Your knowledgeable guides will share the habits of these beautiful mammals and the best spots to spot whales and other wildlife; have your cameras ready!
From here, its back to land to the well-known Mendenhall Glacier. Enjoy the overlook point, take in the spectacular views, get ready to take plenty of pictures, and enjoy the Visitors Center to learn about this 13-mile glacier and its surroundings.

ICY STRAIR CRUISE PORT
Your 3-hour long Wilderness Tour and Brown Bear Search includes:

• Services of a Native Alaskan guide
When your cruise ship docks in Icy Strait, which is situated on an island with the highest concentration of bears in the world, then the only thing that makes sense is to go searching for bears. The land here is vastly uninhabited and brimming with wildlife.
We know that the ultimate goal when in Alaska is spotting a bear in the wild. Lucky for you, your guide studies the habits of bears closely and knows the right places to look. The best months for bear sightings are June, July, and August.
In June, we will look to grassy fields and tidal flats. Its mating season for bears and males are eager to show off. If you are lucky, maybe you will see two males fighting to prove their dominance to potential suitors.
In July, salmon migration is underway. Heading inland from the ocean, Pacific salmon flood Alaskan streams. We'll look for bears feeding along the coast.
By August, the salmon have made it further inland, up the rivers to shallow streams. Bears love chasing salmon and well do our best to spot them in action.
This is primarily a van-based tour, but we will occasionally get out and explore. This allows us to cover more ground, which will make our chances of seeing wildlife that much greater!
We'll travel to hidden and undiscovered places that the cruise tours do not go to. Your guide boasts "no two tours are alike," which is why we love this tour so much! Its possible to see other wildlife too, like otters, beavers, coastal brown bears, and more!
And flora fans, we haven't forgotten about you! Your guide will point out greens of interest.

KETCHIKAN CRUISE PORT
Your 2-hour long Trolley Tour of Ketchikan, Saxman Totem Village & Wildlife at Herring Bay tour includes the following:
• Fully narrated tour by experienced guide
• San Francisco Cable Car-style trolley
• Exploration of Saxman Totem Village
• Visit to Herring Bay
• Wildlife viewing
• City tour of Ketchikan
You will immediately feel the towns history by stepping onboard your cable car trolley. Taking in the towns cannery, City Park, residential areas, and the waterfront, including well-known Creek Street, the former historic Red Light district with its wooden boardwalks. Your professional guide will tell tales of the "good old days," sharing stories of dance halls, brothels, and bootleggers!
Then, leaving the town behind, you head south to Herring Bay, a quaint area far from the crowds. This beautiful small inlet cove allows you to experience the sights of incredible wildlife. During salmon season, black bears, bald eagles, blue herring, and seals are often spotted in this area. So be sure to keep your eyes wide open and your cameras ready!
Your final stop brings you to the Saxman Totem Village. The park is unique, being the only totem park in Alaska with 29 authentic totems carved by Tlingit and Haida natives. The poles were moved here from the original sites in the 1930s and have been restored by native carvers. Your guide will share tribes carving rituals as you watch carvers turning tree trunks into works of art and culture.
Returning to downtown Ketchikan, you can be dropped off at Creek Street to stroll the boardwalk, do some shopping, or continue the ride back to return to your cruise ship.

Guests must be able to get on and off a bus and navigate some inclines to take this tour. Folding, non-motorized wheelchairs are welcome - but we cannot accommodate any motorized wheelchairs/scooters or those that do not fold up flat.
