Overview
Your day will begin driving past the beautiful beaches of Mount Maunganui and Papamoa, two paradises that are considered among the best in New Zealand.
Weather permitting, your driver will take you up to the Minden Lookout for a breathtaking view of the Tauranga coastline.
Make a possible stop at Omokoroa beach and/or Te Puna beach.
You will then visit the historic site of the Battle of Gate Pa and hear all about the Maori Wars and how they shaped the history of this nation. Drive along Taurangas waterfront and see one of their most loved landmarks, the Hairy Maclary and Friends sculpture.
Before you return to your cruise ship, take a brief trip to Sulphur Point or Kulim Park for a brilliant photo opportunity of your cruise ship with the iconic Mount Maunganui as the backdrop.
Your driver guide will then return you back to your cruise ship in plenty of time for your ships departure.
This excursion can accommodate passengers with limited mobility or passengers using wheelchairs in wheelchair adapted vehicles. Wheelchair adapted vehicles can seat up to 4 passengers plus 1 passenger in their wheelchair.
