Once considered the best local for a royal weekend escape, you'll quickly be enchanted by this beautiful and carefully sculpted city.
Take some time to walk around Frederick the Greats beloved summer palace, Sanssouci, built in 1747 in an extravagantly rococo style.
The palace is surrounded by an enormous 700-acre park, and features a beautifully terraced vineyard at its entrance.
You will have the opportunity to visit Schloss Cecilienhof.
This palace, completed in 1917, played a important role in history when it served as the venue for the 1945 Potsdam Conference, where Winston Churchill, Franklin Roosevelt, and Joseph Stalin established the new political balance of power in Europe.
