Take a scenic drive from the harbor to the Botanical Garden, located above Funchal centre where you can enjoy the stunning views across the bay and the city. One of the most beautiful gardens in the region, you will find many imported flowers and plants and also endemic species that belong to Madeiras "Laurissila" forest. Also known as Laurel forest, it was named a World Heritage Site UNESCO in 1999.
Here you will have the time to enjoy the beautiful gardens as your stroll around the many different species of flora.
Head over to the beautiful public gardens and churches of Monte before enjoying the famous and very thrilling toboggan ride down to Livramento should you wish to take part. A truly unique experience. To conclude your tour, you will have a scenic journey back from Livramento over to the view point of Eira do Serrado. You will have the chance to capture some unforgettable views of Madiera and the Nuns Valley. Views that will take your breath away.
You will then be returned back to the port in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure.
