Overview

Your English-speaking driver will be waiting for you at the cruise port; board your transportation and settle in as you leave the port behind.

You will begin your tour as you enjoy a scenic drive towards ancient Olympia, where you will start your guided tour of the ruins. You will uncover all of the history that Olympia has plus the stories behind ancient Olympia which is dedicated to Zeus, the father of Gods. It is located on the south-western foot of Mount Kronios, since 1829, when a French team partially excavated the Temple of Zeus and from 1975 to the present day, the German Archaeological Institute continue to excavate the Olympia site.

Once your guided walking tour of Olympia comes to an end, you will have the chance to taste the local delicacies of Katakolon when you visit the Magna Grecia farm! You will learn all about the history of the olive tree and how the olives are harvested.

You will also have the opportunity to taste the olive oil. Your tour does not end here. You will also have the chance to taste the local wines of Greece, cheese sampling and homemade bread! What a way to end your full-day tour, as you take in the views of Katakolon as you sip on your locally produced wine and cheese.

Once your sampling of wines and cheeses has come to an end, enjoy a scenic drive back to the port where you will return to the port in plenty of time for your cruise ship's departure.
