Overview

Start your scenic hiking tour with a pick up at your cruise port, where you will board your private transportation, settle in as you leave the port behind!

From the harbor, you will drive in the direction of the Luberon mountain range, to visit the lovely village of Lourmarin (there is a market on Friday morning). Listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France, you will wander around the small streets and take in the tasteful shops and the town's Renaissance castle. This is the village where Albert Camus was buried, so you can also make a stop to see his grave.

After Lourmarin, drive in the direction of Buoux where you will start a one hour hike in spectacular surroundings. Caves, cliffs and peaks marry the irregular outlines of the Aigue-Brun river and make Buoux a unique destination in Provence! On the plateau you will walk through lavender fields (blooming at the end of June) and truffle trees.

This gentle hike is accessible to anybody and can be extended if you want. Afterall with the stunning French scenery, you may not want to leave!

Back at the "village" (just a few houses), you will enjoy a French picnic lunch including wine, breads, cold cuts, cheeses, and more.

Continue your journey to Bonnieux. Bonnieux is an attractively-terraced village situated on a promontory. All built out of stones, and surrounded by medieval walls, it is quite impressive. Stop here to have a drink and relax before returning to the harbor in Marseille. You will be rewarded with a splendid view of the entire valley, a valley dotted with many other medieval villages: a real picture postcard.
