Overview

You will be met at the port of Naples by your representative.

Settle into your comfortable transportation and your tour will start with a beautiful drive down the Amalfi Coast, along what is said to be one of the most spectacular coastal roads in Europe. There will be plenty of photo opportunities along the way and you'll be able to admire the view from the cliffside village of Positano from above (this tour does not enter the town Positano).

Later in the morning, your tour will stop in Sorrento, a beautiful town straddling the cliffs overlooking the water to Naples and Mount Vesuvius. There will be free time to explore the area, visit the souvenir shops and sample the local produce of Sorrento - an area famous for its lemons and the production of the digestif, Limoncello.

The drive from Sorrento to Pompeii takes about 45 minutes, with Mount Vesuvius in full view and the island of Capri across the sparkling waters. Your dedicated guide will give you running commentary throughout your journey and will stay with you throughout the day, except during your free time in Sorrento.

On arrival in Pompeii, your English-speaking guide will take you on a two-hour tour of the famous ruins and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn all about the lost city buried by the ash of Mount Vesuvius following its catastrophic eruption in 79 AD. Your guide will be on hand to give you all the information on what is arguably Europe's most compelling archaeological site.

After your visit to Pompeii, there will be a little free time for a comfort break; restroom and coffee facilities are available or perhaps pick up a memorable souvenir.

Your tour will end with a drive back to the port of Naples which will take around 90 minutes, leaving plenty of time for your cruise ship departure.

1st May is Labor day and all sites are closed on the date. If your cruise ports on this date, you will be taken on a scenic tour of the Amalfi Coast instead of the visit to Pompeii.

This itinerary may change the order on the day, due to traffic or other reasons.

On the 1st of May, Labor day, unfortunately Pompeii is closed. Guests will have an extended tour of Naples and see Castle of the egg.
The order of the itinerary may change; this will depend on the traffic on the day.
Bring your sunglasses, sunscreen, sunhat and water bottle.
Wear comfortable walking shoes.
To enter religious sites women should cover their shoulders and both men and women should not wear shorts.
Bring your camera to capture wonderful memories of your time ashore!
