Overview

You will be met at the cruise port of Palermo. This private tour explores the towns of Palermo and Monreale and all they have to offer, giving you great insight into the grand history and the flavors of this beautiful island, guided by a Professional English speaking guide during the whole day.

The tour will begin in Palermo. You will start at the city's markets, offering an abundance of different local produce, where the local's shop and also we can have the advantage of tasting some of Sicily's finest offerings. The local market is something to enjoy, it offers everything from food produce to leather goods, something for everyone.

The tour will then move on to discover the real architecture of the City, the Grand Massimo and Politeama Theatres and the beautiful Piazza Pretoria nestled in the historical centre. A place boasting the Baroque splendor, the breath taking Quattro Canti, a famous square in Palermo. So many places to discover in Palermo, including the magnificent Palazzo dei Normanni, which is also known as the Royal Palace of Palermo, a definite highlight of this tour. Step inside the Cappella Palatina, to discover a pure masterpiece of Arab Norman Byzantine art, with its incredible mosaics and decorations.

The tour will then continue to the charming town of Monreale, a beautiful town, which is nestled on the slopes of Mount Caputo, overlooking the valley La Conca D'Oro. Here you will admire the incredible Monreale Cathedral of Norman architecture, which offers a glimpse into the region's rich cultural heritage.

After a full day of touring, you will return back to Palermo cruise port, in plenty of time for the cruise ships departure, savoring the amazing memories of the day.
